Child Development Homes

Child Development Homes (CDH) services are provided in on-base government and housing and off-base civilian housing. It is a cost-effective means of expanding childcare capacity by offering convenient childcare options for evenings, weekends, and hourly care. The homes and CDH Providers are subject to the same high-quality standards for childcare as the Child Development Centers.

Earn extra Income! Want to be your own boss? Child Development Home Program (CDH) is looking for providers to work out of their home. Being a CDH care-giver provides a great source of income while saving you the expense of child care. Becoming a provider through the Navy is free and we will help you set up your home with equipment and toys from the CDH resource library. CDH provides on-going training on child development topics and sends a monitor to inspect and assist you on a monthly basis. Active duty military, DoD, retirees and civilian spouses qualify. Become a Navy Child Development Home Provider. It’s rewarding and exciting! Informational meetings held the last Tuesday of each month.
