Naval Air Facility El Centro is located 2.5 miles north of Interstate 8, approximately 8 miles west of the city of El Centro, CA. The base is approximately 60 miles west of the California / Arizona border and approximately 105 miles east of San Diego, CA. Note that all vehicles entering NAF El Centro are subject to search.

Directions from San Diego Freeways via I-8:

• Get onto the I-8 East bound Toward El Centro.
• Take the FORRESTER RD exit. Turn LEFT onto FORRESTER RD North bound.
• Turn LEFT onto EVAN HEWES HWY / CR-S80. West bound.
• Turn RIGHT onto BENNETT RD. North bound.
• Carefully enter the main gate. Pay attention to the security guard's directions.

Driving From Palm Springs, CA

Directions from Thousand Palms via I-10:

• Get onto the I-10, east bound, toward Indio. 14.1 miles.
• Exit onto the CA-86 SA, south bound (signs for Brawley/El Centro). 63.3 miles.
• In the city of Westmorland, turn right at N CENTER St / FORRESTER RD / S-30, south bound. 16.7 miles.
• Turn RIGHT at EVAN HEWS HWY / CR-S80, west bound. 3.0 miles.
• Turn RIGHT onto BENNETT RD. North bound. 1.1 miles.
• Carefully enter the main gate. Pay attention to the security guard's directions.

Driving From Yuma, AZ

Directions from near I-8 and 4th Ave:

• Get onto the I-8 West bound toward San Diego. 64.1 miles.
• Travel past the City of El Centro.
• Take the FORRESTER RD exit. Turn RIGHT onto FORRESTER RD North bound.
• Turn LEFT onto EVAN HEWES HWY / CR-S80. West bound.
• Turn RIGHT onto BENNETT RD. North bound.
• Carefully enter the main gate. Pay attention to the security guard's directions.

Parking

There will be free parking on base. Parking is on a first come, first served basis, and we recommend getting there early to get the best spots. You will be directed to parking, so just pay attention to the sailors pointing the way when you enter the gates.
