Located approximately two miles from the Bachelor Housing, China Lake's stables facility offers 15 stalls, training and quarantine areas plus quarterly visits by Army Veterinarian Service. The program operates through a self-help stables club. Horse owners are responsible for maintaining the stables and for care and maintenance of their individual horses. The Stables program runs through the Outdoor Recreation office.
