Fitness Centers

MWR at NAWS China Lake has much to offer the military and their families. Sports & Fitness offers a variety of sports and fitness options. Outdoor tennis courts, indoor racquetball and basketball courts, circuit training rooms, free weights, treadmills, elliptical machines, stationary bikes, weight balls, outdoor hockey/arena soccer rink, softball, soccer and flag football fields. Our indoor pool is available year round. Booking an athletic field is easy to do at the Sports & Fitness Complex.

The Sports and Fitness Complex is a multi-purpose complex that has it all, from a contemporary weight training room, a cardiovascular fitness room, fitness assessment programs and services, a year round indoor swimming pool and aquatics activities, one basketball court, two volleyball courts, two raquetball courts, an indoor rock wall, aerobics, aquatics and special interest classes. The Intramural-Recreational Sports Program provides a wide variety of adult individual and team programs featuring intramural-recreational and varsity sports, extramural sports, group exercise classes and fitness competitions. All activities are open to active duty military, their family members and all other authorized MWR patrons. Also provided are special interest events such as biking, running, swimming and weight lifting. Yoga, Bosu/Power Flex, Body Sculpting and Spin classes offered at this facility numerous times each week! Stop in to sign up.

Athletic Fields

MWR also operates numerous athletic fields, all open daily. These areas include four lighted softball fields, two lighted soccer fields, two unlighted soccer/flag football fields and six lighted tennis courts.
