NAWS China Lake Community Support Programs

At Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, we have many programs available to active duty, reservists and retired Navy personnel and their families, providing sports and physical fitness activities, child development and youth programs and a variety of food and beverage services. Keep up with your exercise program at MWR's well-equipped fitness centers, swimming pools and exercise classes. Get away from it all at the golf course, an 18-hole golf course featuring chipping and putting greens, a driving range, pro shop and snack bar. MWR Information, Tickets and Tours Office has discount tickets to major leisure and entertainment attractions located throughout California and Nevada.

Relax and refresh in one of MWR's clubs and restaurants. The Paradise Community Center offers numberous hospitality and leisure services. Catch a bite to eat in the Paradise Cafe at our fabulous lunch buffets or enjoy your favorite beverage. The Barefoot Bar, open to all hands, is another favorite spot located next to the Oasis Pool and near Bachelor Housing.

Have some time to spare? Strike out for Hall Memorial Lanes Bowling Center, featuring ten synthetic lanes with high-tech scoring and pin-setting equipment. Grab a quick meal at the snack bar when you are knockng down the pins.

  • Memorial Day Pool Opening

    Celebrate the beginning of Summer and the Opening of Oasis Pool BBQ! Hot dog, chips and water free to first 50 patrons. BBQ available while supplies last. Pool fees apply. Open to all MWR patrons.

  • Outdoor Rec Full Moon Hikes: Red Rock Canyon

    Monday, June 5 • 5:30-8 pm

    Military sign-up ends: May 25. Civilian sign-up: May 7-25. Small fee applies. Minimum 5 participants per hiking event. All Outdoor Recreation trips include transportation. Arrive 15 minutes prior to trip departure time. Open to all MWR patrons. For more info or to sign up, call 760-939-3006.

  • Liberty Goes Sky Diving!

    Thursday-Sunday, June 21-24 • Departs at 7 pm (Sign up by 6/15)

    Join the Liberty staff as we take to new heights over California. We’re camping out next to Lake Tulare, near NAS Lemoore and jumping on Friday or Saturday. Bring your adventurous spirit and you will soar higher than ever before! Camping gear, sky diving training, one jump per person, meal while at camp and transportation included.
