About

Coronado Bridge RunThe Navy’s 26th Original Bay Bridge Run/Walk is hosted by the Navy Region Southwest, Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Program. This unique 4-mile run/walk has a one of a kind spectacular panoramic view as participants make their way to Coronado’s beautiful Tidelands Park from downtown San Diego over the Coronado Bay Bridge. During the finish line celebration, runners receive T-shirts, Padres tickets and complimentary transportation back to downtown via bus, trolley and ferry. You will be crossing the majestic Coronado Bay Bridge to raise funds to support Quality of Life Programs for Navy personnel. MWR Quality of Life programs support the 500,000+ members of our San Diego Military Family.

MWR provides healthy and affordable fitness and recreation opportunities at each of the five Navy bases in San Diego County – MWR operates multiple gymnasiums and fitness centers, swimming pools and beaches, free movie theaters, bowling lanes, golf courses, discount ticket offices, marinas, gear rental centers, youth and teen recreation centers, food and beverage facilities, childcare centers and more.

MWR is also the event planner for the military. Beyond the Bridge Run, we produce fitness and sports competitions, educational activities and seasonal celebrations such as our Spring Fling, Freedom Festival, Oktoberfest, Military Child Appreciation events, Military Family Appreciation events, and our Family Holiday Party.
